Boats: Ideal 18s

Topics: Parts of the boat, identifying wind direction, rigging the Ideal 18s, points of sail, sail trim, and docking. Some information about membership access and procedure will be included as well.

Objective: This class is perfect for those who feel they would like a refresh on their sailing skills, or for those who have never been on a boat before. Students with previous knowledge will enjoy our fantastic coaching staff, learn a bit more about our programs, and feel confident using our fleet of Ideal 18s. Novices will learn the skills necessary to comfortably enjoy the Ideal 18 within the sailing boundaries in fair weather. Most students feel comfortable passing the member checkout test after this class, which permits them access to our fleet for free sailing.
