All Day Sailing Camp (Ages 8-12)

Ages: 8-12 years old

Cost: $470 (+tax)

Boats: Optimists/Prams and Keelboats

Topics: How to rig, steer, sail, and dock boats. Points of sail, parts of the boat, knot tying, and having fun!

Students in this age group will sail two per Opti (small boat) with a coach in a powerboat, or will have 4-6 sailors with a coach in each keelboat. Sailors will navigate around a course with instruction and assistance from coaches. 

Objective: Sailors will learn the basics of sailing, and spend days on and in the water with friends. We hope to make this age group fun so your children learn to love sailing as much as we do! 
Generally children of all experience levels participate in the all day camps, and we aim to make an educational environment for kids just starting, and for kids on their nth session of the summer.

Modality: One week of full day classes. Each day there will be multiple snack breaks and a lunch break. The course should be about half in the classroom, and half on the water.
