Boats: Ideal 18s

Topics: Intermediate sailing courses build upon the skills learned in the basic Learn to Sail courses. Specific topics may be decided on by the students. General topics may include anchoring, safety position, boat handling, strategy.  They consist of about half in class and half on the water learning. 

Objective: Provide a coached classroom setting to take sailing education past the learn to sail level. Help sailors gain confidence, receive further coaching, fix habits, and clear misunderstandings regarding the Ideal 18s and sailing. This class is a great bridge betweeen the Learn to Sail and Learn to Race Courses. 

Modality: The course should be about half in the classroom, and half on the water. Class structure can range from two back-to-back full days, to four evening sessions split between two weeks.
